Inside Sales Representative (EN+DE)

Are you freshly graduated, or do you have a few years of Sales experience already? Do you have an interest in logistics, and are you able to see opportunities where others might stop? Then we have just the job for you!

We are looking for a new Inside Sales Representative in Duisburg, Germany to complete our team and focus on the market in the German and Swiss region. As our Inside Sales Representative you are the face of NewPort for our clients about our products and services.

About NewPort

NewPort Tank Containers specializes in the transport of chemical liquids, foodstuffs and gas in tank containers. Our activities have an international character. We are represented worldwide with our own offices and a large network of agents.

Main Tasks

Inside Sales

  • You are responsible for the sales and sales registration of NewPort’s products and services.

  • Your area of focus will be Germany and Switzerland.

  • You inform new and existing customers and clients about (technical) possibilities and solutions that we offer, and you jump on the commercial opportunities that arise in these contacts.

  • Keep yourself up to date on product information and legislation.

RFQ & RFI (Requests for Quotations and Request for Information)

  • Act as the NewPort representative for RFQs and RFIs at customer on behalf of the NewPort Offices and agents.

  • Ensure the quality of exchanged correspondence and create calculations and quotations, making sure deadlines are met.

  • Ask and obtain the necessary information on both the (potential) customers and internal departments concerned.

  • Recommend alternatives based on costs, availability, and specifications.

Tenders

  • Create tenders, support the Commercial Manager and Area Sales Managers in the preparation and report the progress of the process.

  • Responsible for preparing and executing the quotes for the customers according to the guidelines or rates and conditions set by the Commercial Manager.

Communication

  • Maintain contact internally and externally to expand the business network.

  • Ensure that all commercial information and sales calls are documented, and actions taken.

  • Guide, instruct and support agents on the acquisition of sales activities.

Who are we looking for?

  • Freshly graduated, or a few years of experience in the Freight Forwarding business.

  • (MUST!) Fluent in English.

  • (MUST!) Fluent (C2 level or native) in German.

  • Affinity with Sales and Logistics.

  • (Pré) Knowledge of INCO terms, IMDG and ADR.

  • You live within commuting distance from Duisburg. This means within 1h of driving time.

  • You are energetic, have an open mind towards new challenges and you have the drive to perform.
