Customer Service Representative

You will be the face of NewPort for our customers regarding their orders, and you make sure to answer all their questions. This means that you make the entire process run smoothly! Furthermore, you can switch between tasks quickly, and you are driven by the dynamic work environment.
About NewPort
NewPort Tank Containers specializes in the transport of chemical liquids, foodstuffs and gas in tank containers. Our activities have an international character. We are represented worldwide with our own offices and a large network of agents.
Key responsibilities
You work in a structured way, so you can keep a good overview of all orders from your customers.
You ensure that all information is processed on time and that all parties have the correct information in time.
You ensure that your other colleagues from Operations Control have the correct information to make and check all necessary invoices.
You keep your customers informed at all times.
You monitor the operational processes using KPI’s.
Daily tasks
You maintain an overview of all operational and administrative matters related to your customers' import and export orders.
You prepare shipments and inform the relevant internal and external departments.
You inform colleagues, customers or other involved parties if there are discrepancies in an order.
You check documents for completeness and correctness.
Who are we looking for?
Freshly graduated, or a few years of experience in the Freight Forwarding business.
We are preferably looking for someone for 40 hours per week, but 32 to 36 hours is also negotiable.
You are a strong team player who always keeps the customer's needs in mind.
To be successful in this position, it is important that you can manage customer accounts, make decisions under time pressure, have a problem-solving orientation and take responsibility.
You have knowledge of INCO requirements, IMDG and ADR.
You have an understanding of administrative procedures and logistics.
You are fluent in English and German.
