NewPort Tank Containers specializes in the international transport of chemical liquids,
foodstuffs, and gas in tank containers. We are represented worldwide with our own
offices and a large network of agents. We are looking for a Customer Service Representative
for our operations department in Duisburg!

As a Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for our customers at the
operational level: you will be the first point of contact for our customers with regard
to orders and will answer all their questions. You will ensure that everything runs like clockwork!
You will think along with the customer and be able to come up with solutions.
Daily activities
You will keep track of all operational and administrative matters relating to your customer’s
import and export orders.
You will prepare shipments and inform the relevant internal and external departments.
You will inform colleagues, customers, or other parties involved if there are any discrepancies
with an order.
You will check documents for completeness and accuracy.
Who are we looking for?
You have completed secondary vocational training, preferably in the field of logistics.
You have at least 2 years of professional experience in freight forwarding or as a freight
forwarding clerk.
We are preferably looking for someone for 40 hours per week, but 32 to 36 hours are also negotiable.
You are a strong team player who always keeps the needs of customers in mind.
To be successful in this position, it is important that you can manage customer accounts, make
decisions under time pressure, are problem-solving oriented, and can take responsibility.
You have knowledge of INCO terms, IMDG, and ADR.
You have an understanding of administrative procedures and logistics.
You are fluent in English and German.
