About NewPort

NewPort is one of the world’s largest tank container operators (number 2) and part of Gentco. We make sure liquid bulk cargo, from chemicals to food, travels the world safely and efficiently, and we are proud of it. From our global headquarters in Moerdijk we work internationally and across time zones. Our motto: we never stop. It is deeply ingrained in our DNA: we have ea ch other’s back, we are always there for our customers, and whatever the problem is, we solve it. We expect the same from you. You will join a young, ambitious team that collaborates closely, in a great office.

Your department

You lead Operations Europe. The department takes care of deep sea transport, intermodal transport and the transport of hazardous goods, and consists of the Imports, Exports, Special Tanks and Equipment Planning & Control (EPC) teams, roughly 60 FTE in total. Through the Country Managers you also steer the operation in several countries, with about 15 FTE in matrix reporting. You report to the General Manager EMEA and, on a dotted line, to the Global Operations Director.

Your role

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree
  • Extensive experience leading large teams in an operational environment in logistics, supply chain or transport, within a complex, global matrix organisation
