The history of NewPort
NewPort was founded in 1995 when parent company World Shipping Inc. desired to expand its service offerings to long-time, strategic chemical customers. The tank container market had room for a new entrant at that time, and with a focus on high-quality equipment and excellent customer focus and service, NewPort Tank Containers was launched, now part of Gentco Logistics.
Through a team of highly-trained and well respected professionals, we at NewPort provide bulk liquid logistics solutions that are second to none.

NewPort's certifications
Working with chemicals, foods and gases, our experience and expertise is of utmost importance. To make sure we handle each and every order safely, following industry standards, we have several certifications that prove our skills.
ITCO
The ITCO certificate is proof that a company complies with globally recognized safety and quality standards for tank container operations, ensuring safe and reliable transport of bulk liquids and gases. The ITCO (International Tank Container Organization) represents 170 members within the international tank container industry.
Halal
Halal Correct Certification provides certification of manufacturers and suppliers of halal products, being in compliance with ISO 9001:2015.
Kosher
Kosher certificates are exclusively delivered to factories and companies that are either strictly kosher, or of which the products can be produced in a kosher way.
C-TPAT
The C-TPAT (Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism) is a voluntary supply chain security program led by U.S. CBP (Customs and Border Protection) and focused on improving the security of private companies’ supply chains with respect to terrorism.
FENEX
FENEX members are freight forwarders and logistics services providers. As organisers of the transport chain, freight forwarders attach major importance to stability in service, capacity and rate.
